It’s about time, Goodfellas!

After a let down announcement months ago about their plan to move into the old filling station on baxter, we’ve finally received word that Goodfellas Pizzeria will move into The Baxter, those new apartments just passed the filling station and right before Gravely (650 Baxter Ave).

Goodfellas is known for their New York City pie, which we’re excited about. After making some calls to our neighboring city, Lex-Vegas we got mixed reviews. Some said it was always cold and seemed like day-old-pizza, and some said it was the best pizza in Kentucky and to be prepared to jump on the bandwagon. Do we trust the people of Lexington to be food critics? We’d vote no — so we’ll give it a fair review when the doors open.

Goodfellas Plans to have pizza by the slice in their 6,500 square-foot space. They will also install a 2,500-square-foot patio area with an indoor-outdoor bar and bocce ball court, similar to their space in the distillery district of Lexington.

They said build out will be around 6 months so we expect them to open in late fall.

We’re excited to get a new pizza spot after our friends at Clifton’s closed their doors. Full review to come!
